LAWTON, Okla._Some Lawton residents have taken advantage of early voting to cast their ballot in the Lawton CIP proposal.
Early voting will take place until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, and again from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday.
Through the new 2016 Capital Improvement Program, the city is looking to add groundwater wells that could create an additional 10 million gallons per day. Lawton draws water from Lake Lawtonka, Lake Ellsworth and Waurika Lake. It would cost $1 million to drill 10 test wells.
