LAWTON, Okla._The following is a list of back to school events and giveaways

Lawton- Friday, August 7

Back to School Jam: Free backpacks and school supplies. Also entertainment, food and drinks.

Wind of Change Ministry – 4469 SE Lee Blvd.

From 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Lawton- Saturday, August 8

Back to School Prayer Event:  Prayer for students, free school supplies, haircuts, and health care resources.

St John's Missionary Baptist Church -- 1504 N.H. Jones Ave

From 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
 

Lawton/Ft. Sill 6th annual Back to School Bash: Free backpacks, schools supplies, clothing, food and information from several community service and faith based organizations. Served more than 1,000 youth last year.

Museum of the Great Plains – 601 NW Ferris

The giveaway for people who registered begins at 9:00 a.m. – the giveaway for everyone else begins at 10:00 a.m.

Lawton- Saturday, August 15

2nd annual Youth Back to School Health Expo: Free haircuts, dental screenings, eye screenings, entertainment and demonstrations. Children will also be able to pick fruits and vegetables from the Youth Community Garden on site.

United in Christ Discipleship – 19 NE 20th Street

From 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Duncan-Saturday, August 15

11th annual Fiesta in Fuqua: Blue Cross Blue Shield Caring Van will provide free immunizations (must bring your shot record). Free health screenings, school supplies, food and games. Kiddieland is also offering free rides.

Fuqua Park - Beech Ave & Hwy 81 in Duncan

From 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
