Lawton church prepares for giveaway

LAWTON, Okla._The True Love Apostolic Faith Church in southwest Lawton is preparing to help the community through a giveaway event Saturday.

Clothing, shoes, dishes and toiletry items will be free to anyone who needs them. Deloris Watts has been putting the giveaway together since the end of July and says the church just wants to be a blessing to the community.

"True love church is what we stand for, we show a lot of love and we just want to bless people. It makes me so happy, my heart so full. Being as blessed as I am, if I could do this every day, I would," Watts said.

The giveaway runs from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until 2:00 p.m. Watts invites everyone to come out and take as much as they need. The church is located at 420 SW ‘G’ Avenue.
