Banquet recognizes Lawton law enforcement

TULSA, Okla._A big Lawton showing Thursday night in the 26th Annual Association of Oklahoma Narcotics Enforcers Training Conference.

Several Lawton firefighters from the Oklahoma Fire Pipe and Drum Team, and the Lawton Police Department Honor Guard played bagpipes at the event. Comanche County Assistant D.A. Mark Stoneman opened the awards banquet singing the national anthem, and Lawton Police Detective Nancy Lombardo is the organization's president. 

During Thursday night's banquet, several law enforcers nominated by their peers were recognized for going above and beyond in their fight against drug crimes. Over 500 law enforcement officers from various departments and agencies across Oklahoma and 4 other states attended the conference.

A-ONE was formed in 1989 to facilitate the exchange of information between narcotics investigators statewide.
