Lawton Rangers parade downtown

LAWTON, Okla._The Lawton Rangers toured the downtown streets on horseback Saturday morning for its annual parade.

Fort Sill's Colonel Glenn Waters was the parade marshal for this year's event. It started at the intersection of Southwest 5th Street and 'C' Avenue, and circled back toward Southwest 9th Street and 'D' Avenue.

The parade is a celebration of the Lawton Rodeo, where the final rides will be at the L.O. Ranch Arena Saturday night.

    Frederic Lavelle Veasley Jr. surrendered to an OSBI special agent at an apartment complex in Oklahoma City. Veasley is the third suspect that has been identified in the murder of a 24-year-old father who was shot at least 36 times outside a Guthrie home on April 5th. Veasley was arrested on a first-degree murder warrant.
