Driver arrested after rollover accident

LAWTON, Okla._One man was arrested after flipping his vehicle on a Lawton street Saturday night.

Police say Michael Davis was coming back from the lake with his wife and child. Davis told police he was arguing with his wife when he ran a stop sign at Northwest 7th Street and Gore Boulevard, lost control and flipped the SUV around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Davis grabbed his 6-year-old son and ran away from the scene. The driver was later arrested at Southwest 6th Street and ‘B’ Avenue. Police say Davis had a hard time completing the field sobriety test; during the walk and turn, he refused to do the test because "he just wasn't going to do it."

Davis was taken to the Lawton City Jail and booked on complaints of DUI refusal, child endangerment, failure to yield from a stop sign and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
