Oklahoma Honor Flights coming to an end

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla._A program that takes Oklahoma's World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorial built in their honor will soon come to an end.

Oklahoma's Honor Flight program began six years ago and since then, more than 1,800 veterans have taken the all-expenses paid trip. There's still a little time left to take the trip. The program's director says applications will still be accepted until November 1.

He says there will be no more veterans on waiting lists after flights scheduled for September and October.
