Waurika hires city manager, appoints mayor

WAURIKA, Okla._The City of Waurika has hired a new city manager and appointed a councilman to the position of mayor after the previous city manager, mayor and city attorney all resigned from their posts.

The city has hired Brad Scott as the new city manager. Scott held the position briefly in 2014 while former City Manager Chuck Brown was put on administrative leave. Scott replaces Richard Hart who held the position of city manager for about a year.

Our crew went to Waurika to find out more about Scott's future plans for the city, but he refused an interview.

Dale Spradlin has been appointed to the position of mayor.
