Man arrested after breaking out police car's window

LAWTON, Okla._What started out as a call about an alleged stabbing in Lawton ended with a man in jail for another reason.

Just after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Southwest 21st Street and McKinley Avenue, police detained the man inside the car while they investigated the initial assault call. While in the back of the police car, he became aggressive and began yelling and then started repeatedly kicking the window before smashing it.

He was arrested for damage to city property and taken to jail in a different police car.

Police say no one was stabbed.
