Five injured in wrong-way crash

LAWTON, Okla._A wrong-way crash on Gore Boulevard Wednesday evening injured five people, including a child.

Lawton police say the driver had also been involved in another crash on Cache Road just a few minutes earlier. He left the scene of that wreck, and somehow got on the wrong side of the road on Gore Boulevard.  When he got to the traffic light at 17th Street, he slammed into the side of an SUV that was crossing Gore Boulevard, which set off a chain reaction of collisions with three more vehicles. Four people in the SUV were hurt, and one person in another vehicle was also injured. No word on the severity of their injuries. The driver was not hurt.

He was arrested on complaints of reckless driving, and driving without insurance.
