Frederick is coming off a couple of tough seasons. For the first time since 2012 the Bombers aren't breaking in a new head coach. It's year two of the Brett White era. With 11 total starters returning, they're eager to restore the winning tradition that Frederick is used to, and prove that last year's 1-9 record was just an aberration.
"I think our approach this year is completely different. You know in Frederick we don't lose. We had a terrible season last year. I think it was terrible for everyone that was involved. It's one of those things where you don't ever want to experience something like that again. Our kids are taking the proper steps needed to avoid something like that ever happening," said White.
"You know these kids are having fun. I think that was missing last year. It was one of those things where we had to get through it instead of enjoying it. You know we tell these kids, there are two types of people, those that want to get better or get by, and these kids definitely want to get better."
"He sees this as a new start and that's what we're taking it as too," added senior Drew Biggs. "We've got to show our fans that we can still win games. Last year was just one of those downfall years and this year we're picking it back up. This year we actually great leadership. Everybody is working hard. We're just ready to win."
Frederick will kick things off September 4th at home against Electra, TX.
