2 arrested in Wichita Falls homicide

WICHITA FALLS, Texas_Detectives with the Wichita Falls Police Department served two warrants in connection with the June 2 homicide.

On June 2, at approximately 12:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Yuma and Gunnison in reference to a shooting. Domanic Thrasher, 21, was walking near the intersection when a dark colored SUV approached him from the 3800 block of Yuma. Several gunshots were fired from the vehicle and hitting Thrasher. Thrasher was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The warrants were served to 20-year-old Blayne Brooks and 26-year-old Justin Love. Brooks was already in the Wichita County Jail on an unrelated aggravated robbery warrant. Love is in custody in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for a parole violation. Whitney Obrien has also been arrested in connection to Thrasher’s death.

This is Wichita Falls first homicide of 2015.
