Police: Inmate escaped from Lawton Community Correctional Center

LAWTON, Okla._Authorities are looking for a man who escaped from the Lawton Community Correctional Center early Saturday morning.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says 29-year-old Joshua Myers walked away from the correctional facility. Officers noticed he was gone after doing a headcount around 3:00 a.m. Saturday.

Myers is described as a white male, 6’0” and 200 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar above his right ear and multiple tattoos on his left arm, right hand and back.

He is currently serving time for second-degree burglary and endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute.

Authorities say if you see Myers, do not approach him and call police.
