Best looking cruiser contest underway

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla._The American Association of State Troopers is holding their second "Best Looking Cruiser" contest.

Ohio State Highway Patrol won last year with West Virginia State Police close behind. The contest started as a friendly competition between state agencies and as a fun way to interact with the public.

Last year's contest generated more than 97,000 votes, 15,000 shares and 12,000 comments. They're hoping this year's contest will be even more successful in engaging with the public.

If you want to get in on the fun and vote for your favorite cruiser, head on over to their Facebook page and like the photo of your favorite. Voting will continue until midnight Pacific Time August 31, 2015.

The winner will be presented with the "Best Looking Cruiser Award" and featured on the cover of AAST's "America's Best Looking Trooper Cruisers 2016" wall calendar. The calendars will be available for purchase on October 1 at Net proceeds benefit the AAST, which provides benefits to troopers and educational scholarships to children of member troopers.
