2015 Ryan Football Preview

The Ryan Cowboys rebounded from a two win campaign in 2013, to make the playoffs in 2014. But a strong senior class has graduated, leaving Ryan a lot less experienced heading in to 2015.

"Well this year we're just going to have to make a lot of changes. We lost a couple of seniors at a few key positions. But we're just trying to build up our underclassmen to take those spots, fill some big spots and step up to the plate," senior Grant Carter said.

"Our attitudes have been real good. When we went to team camp back at the end of May, I was real pleased with it. I liked our attitudes. I liked the way we approached things. Our boys have been working hard," added head coach Stan Mueggenborg.

One position the Cowboys are experienced at is quarterback. Grant carter has started since he was a sophomore, and has seen his game reach a new level as a senior.

"Grant has been playing at quarterback the last two years and it's his senior year. He's done a real good job so far and has really stepped up to be a leader for us."

Ryan will kick off the season September 4thagainst rival Waurika.
