OSBI identifies body found in burned vehicle in Greer County

MANGUM, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has released the identity of a body found in a burned car in Greer County earlier this month.

Agents say they are investigating the death of 60-year-old Richard Everett Sevo of Sayre as a suspicious death.

The Greer County Sheriff's Office asked the OSBI for its assistance on Aug. 16 after a body was found in a burned car near the intersection of two county roads in rural Greer County.

The OSBI says the Office of the State Medical Examiner has identified the body as that of Sevo. Investigators say the medical examiner has not determined the manner of Sevo's death.

OSBI says the State Fire Marshal's Office is also investigating the case.
