Medical Examiner's Office releases new information in woman's death

TEMPLE, Okla._The Medical Examiner’s Office has released new information on the death of Shannen Brown.

A report from the Medical Examiner’s Office says 41-year-old Shannen Brown, whose body was found in a burned home near Temple last month, was shot twice in the back of the head and killed before the fire. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Brown's body was found August 11 in a home on County Road North 2700. After testing her airways, the Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that she was already dead when the house was set on fire.

A teenage boy who was living in the home has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and first-degree arson. He is being held at the Comanche County Juvenile Detention Center on $1 million bond.
