JACKSON COUNTY, Okla._Duke, Hollis and Navajo school districts will hold elections Tuesday, with two revolving around bond issues.
Navajo Public Schools will have a $1.3 million bond on the ballot. It will go toward electrical updates, heating and cooling equipment, safety and security, lighting fixtures and insulation.
The Duke Public Schools bond is for a little over $3 million. The plan is for that to go toward replacing the heating and cooling systems, repairing the school roof and building a new building for school activities, among others.
Both of these bonds require 60 percent of the vote to pass.
In Hollis, the vote will be on annexing the district to the Southwest Tech Center in Altus. This would provide those students with education in the career and technology fields, which the school doesn't have yet. That issue only needs a simple majority to pass.
