Wagstaff sentenced for sex crimes involving teen

LAWTON, Okla._Clint Wagstaff, Comanche County’s former emergency director, has been sentenced for seven counts of sex crimes involving a 14-year-old boy.

Wagstaff, 62, pleaded guilty to seven counts, including soliciting sexual conduct, exposing a minor to obscene material, forcible sodomy involving a victim under the age of 16 and three counts of possession of child pornography.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for soliciting sexual conduct or engaging in sexual communication with a minor. Wagstaff was sentenced to 20 years in prison for each of the other six counts. Most of the prison terms will run concurrently, he was sentenced to 40 years in prison in total.

From May 2014 until Wagstaff's arrest on August 13, 2014, the boy said the two were involved sexually on at least two occasions. Over the span of three months, the two met several times at an elementary school parking lot near Wagstaff's house. The boy also said he visited Wagstaff's home where they would watch TV and pornography on Wagstaff's tablet before masturbating.
