Teams aim to raise $500 for Spirit of Survival

LAWTON, Okla._Team S.O.S. is a brand new program that’s being introduced as part of the 10th annual Spirit of Survival marathon, and anyone can join.

The proceeds raised from Team S.O.S. will be used to create the regions only full-service, comprehensive breast cancer program in Southwest Oklahoma. The funds will be used to purchase a state-of-the-art technology including: digital mammography, tomosynthesis, stereotactic breast biopsy and other new technology and equipment. The new technology will allow for up to 30 percent more detection and diagnosis in the earliest stages of breast cancer.

To become a member of Team S.O.S., all you have to do is register online at www.spiritofsurvival.com and begin your online fundraising. The fundraising goal for each group is set at $500, which will give the team free registration into any S.O.S. event, a special neon pink training shirt, official race shirt, VIP tickets to a luncheon with Dick Hoyt on October 2 and other great extras.

If you don’t want to run or walk, but still want to donate to the cause, you can also donate toward Team KSWO’s fundraising goal.
