Man arrested after 2 people shot

LAWTON, Okla._Lawton police arrested a man after they say he shot two people and then drove off.

Police say 72-year-old Frank Hicks Jr. shot and injured a man and woman near Southwest 17th Street and Georgia Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after a domestic dispute turned violent. Authorities say the woman got into his truck and they sped off. Officers found Hicks at 6:42 p.m. at Southwest 14th Street and Monroe Avenue and the woman with him was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to her left ankle. The man who was also shot was treated for a gunshot wound to his right forearm.

Hicks was arrested on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.

    Maj. Gen. Brian McKiernan, who was welcomed to Fort Sill FIRES Center of Excellence as commanding general in July of 2016, will be leaving. Maj. Gen. McKiernan has been selected to be the Deputy Commanding General of 18th Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg. Maj. Gen. Brian McKiernan has served as commanding general for the last year.

That video was caught by a now former correctional officer, who is facing possible jail time.
