"One Million Meals" campaign continues

LAWTON, Okla._There’s another chance for you to help the area's hungry families, through Arvest Bank's "One Million Meals" Campaign Friday morning.

They want you to bring the money you would have spent on breakfast Friday to an Arvest Branch, and donate it to the cause. In exchange, they'll give you coffee and doughnuts. Arvest Bank employee Tara Lauderdale says a little money can go a long way.

"You can purchase a paper can for one dollar and that equal just five meals. You can also bring in non-perishables food items can goods chewy bars anything,” Lauderdale said.

In the past 4 years, Arvest and United Way has raised more than $6.2 million.

The million meals event kicks off at 8 a.m. and you can participate at any Arvest Bank.
