New one-stop shop for Cameron Freshman

LAWTON, Okla._Cameron University held a dedication ceremony for the opening of their Office of Teaching & Learning Wednesday.

The office is a one-stop shop where students learn how to survive college. The program is geared towards freshmen but is open for anyone. Also, students receive tips on how to study effectively, as well as ways to adjust to the environment.

"I think it’s important for our students to have a place and a person to latch onto so much of the success of our students is not being anonymous. They need to know we care, and we do care,” Cameron University President John McArthur said.

The services provided by the Office of Teaching & Learning also include peer counseling, academic advice, and tutoring.
