Sword slashing under investigation

LAWTON, Okla._A man was hospitalized after police say he was slashed with a sword.

Friday, police were called to an apartment at Southwest 9th and J Avenue. They say a woman began arguing with her ex-boyfriend when it turned physical. That's when her son, who was waiting outside, tried to force his way into the apartment. Police say he fired several shots through the door, and then the man behind it grabbed a sword and swung it at him, slashing his arm. The woman's son was treated at the hospital and released. As of Friday night, both men remained in police custody while in questioning.
