Charges filed in drug roundup

LAWTON, Okla._Prosecutors filed charges on seven of the eight people who were arrested in the early morning sweep in last Friday’s drug bust.

On Monday officials also filed a lengthy affidavit, which contained detailed information from phone conversations between some of the accused, in which various drug deals were set up over the past several weeks. Investigators said last week, the defendants were part of a group that routinely brought in as much as a kilo of cocaine from Dallas into Lawton.

They said the arrests helped keep at least $10,000 worth of the drugs from being sold each week.
