LAWTON, Okla._Online registration for Spirit of Survival has been extended until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday and race groups are nearly full.
The Spirit of Survival half marathon and quarter marathon kick off at 7:30 a.m. Sunday with the 5K starting at 7:45 a.m., a Super Kids Marathon for children 12 and under at 2:00 p.m. and a Spirit Walk to celebrate the life of and remember those affected by cancer at 2:45 p.m. The Spirit Walk does not have a time limit and is a leisurely stroll intended to show support in the fight against cancer. If you've already registered, you'll need to pick up your packet at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lawton on Friday, October 2, between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Or on Saturday, October 3, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you haven't registered online before the weekend, you may also register for Spirit of Survival during the race packet pick-up times.
Sunday registration and packet pick-up is available between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Sunday for all of the events. Between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., registration and packet pick-up is only available for the Super Kids Marathon and Spirit Walk.
The Spirit Walk/Run is a great way to join the fight against cancer. Everyone can walk one mile to stop cancer. All of the money raised from the Spirit of Survival stays right here in Southwest Oklahoma and goes directly to clinical trials helping our friends, neighbors and family members.
