Pit Stop raising money to fight breast cancer

LAWTON, Okla._October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the employees at a Pit Stop in Lawton have decided to shave their heads to raise awareness.

"Just help raise awareness for breast cancer awareness. Thousands of people are affected by it each year, not just the people that actually get it, but their families are affected as well," said Bobby Sorrells, shop manager.

Sorrells says the disease hits close to home for him.

"My wife has had several people in her family. Two of her aunts have had mastectomies and I've lost other people in my family from cancer. Not necessarily breast cancer, but it hits home," he said.

In addition to shaving their heads, the employees will also be presenting customers with pink invoices and accepting donations. One hundred percent of the donations will be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

They will be accepting donations throughout the entire month of October.
