PHOENIX, Ariz._A Fletcher man is facing several charges after being arrested in Phoenix, Arizona, following a high-speed chase.

Authorities say 30-year-old Joshua Hicks was pulled over Monday after an officer noticed a drug transaction. The officer detected drugs in the vehicle and asked Hicks to step out. Instead, he drove away and slammed into a city truck, causing it to roll over. The city truck then hit another vehicle as Hicks crashed into two other vehicles. Hicks and a female passenger ran away from the wreckage.

She collapsed a short distance away, but Hicks was later found hiding in a shed. Investigators say hicks had 15 pounds of meth in his truck that they believe he intended to sell.

He was arrested and booked on several complaints including aggravated assault, endangerment and possession of a dangerous drug for sale.

His bond is set at $500,000. His passenger was not arrested as police could not connect her to the drugs.
