Medicine Park police chief reinstated following investigation

MEDICINE PARK, Okla._Medicine Park Police Chief Tom Adrahtas has been reinstated to his position following Tuesday night's Board of Trustees meeting.

Chief Adrahtas had been on administrative leave for the past month while an outside investigator looked into a complaint against him. The vote to reinstate the chief was 3-2, with Mayor Charles Callich and Board Member Mark Wicks voting against the proposal.

Mayor Callich says the details of the investigation will not be released because it is a personnel matter. Chief Adrahtas received a formal letter of reprimand that will go in his permanent personnel file, and he will be going through additional training.

The decision to reinstate the chief is effective immediately.
