Real ID Act will not affect Fort Sill

LAWTON, Okla._Officials at Fort Sill say the state of Oklahoma’s failure to comply with the Federal Government's Real ID Act, won't affect your ability to get onto the post.

The Real ID Act sets a minimum standard for all state ID's in order to make them harder to duplicate, and without them, federal agencies will deny you access. Oklahoma has not met that standard, and the deadline for compliance is this Saturday.

Fort Sill officials say the act won't impact your entry onto the post, however visitors will still need to submit to a background check at the visitors center, and obtain a pass to enter.
