Lawsuit: Oklahoma County owes jail health care provider $3 million

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The health care services provider for the Oklahoma County jail has filed a lawsuit, saying it hasn't been paid according to contract terms.
County commissioners were served notice Wednesday as defendants of the lawsuit filed by Armor Correctional Health Services Incorporated. The lawsuit alleges the county has failed to pay $2.8 million in monthly base compensation. With added expenses, the lawsuit says the county owes $3.3 million.
The Journal Record reports the Florida-based company also sued the county in March for a $660,000 breach-of-contract complaint. The matter was settled via the Oklahoma County Retirement System.
Commissioner Ray Vaughn declined to talk about details of the lawsuit, but said he was frustrated about ongoing problems with the jail.
