Bark in the Park raises $50,000

STEPHENS COUNTY, Okla._The Humane Society of Stephens County was happy to report Sunday that Saturday’s 10th Annual Bark in the Park was the biggest and most successful one to date.

They set an ambitious goal of raising $50,000 and estimated Sunday that they had met, if not exceed that amount.

Also, all 20 animals they had up for adoption were taken to loving homes.

The money raised will help pay for spaying and neutering, along with other medical assistance for their animals. The money raised Saturday came from donations, dog contests, raffles, as well as bake sales and t-shirt sales.
