Sand Springs man arrested for aggravated possession of child pornography

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla._A man from Sand Springs was arrested Tuesday after he was caught with hundreds images of child pornography.

A Shawnee police detective met with 46-year-old Mark Scott Stewart via a chat room. Stewart and the detective went to a separate chat room where Stewart shared hundreds on images depicting child pornography.

The detective requested assistance from the Oklahoma ICAC Task Force and the IP address used by Stewart was traced to a business in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Everyone at the business fully cooperated with the officers and helped lead them to Stewart, who was at a work site in Oklahoma City at the time.

ICAC Task Force members from Edmond, the Attorney General’s Office and OSBI arrested Stewart on a complaint of aggravated possession of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. Stewart was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail where he’s being held on a $12,000 bond.
