Group wants 3rd inquiry of coach's alleged harmful play

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association has asked a school to conduct a third investigation of its girls basketball coach allegedly designing a play to hurt an opposing player.

The Oklahoman reports (http://bit.ly/1S0Thja ) the association made the formal request Thursday. It came less than 48 hours after Holt's attorney provided two signed affidavits from Cache players who say the play was designed to hurt Holt and that Cache coach Kenny White directed players to lie about his involvement.

Holt was hit in the face by inbounds pass late in the game Feb. 10.

The association's attorney requested another investigation with a formal written response once all players and coaches are re-interviewed.

The association accepted the results of the initial investigations. Cache found no wrongdoing after the first two investigations, but it suspended White for three games.
