Angel Tree application period extended

LAWTON, Okla._The Salvation Army of Lawton-Fort Sill is working to make sure every child has something special under their tree.

The agency has extended the application period for its Angel Tree program. You can apply this Tuesday, from 1 p.m to 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, which is located at 1315 Southwest F Avenue.

The goal is to provide toys and clothing to more than 12-hundred children this year.

To apply, you'll need to bring a picture I.D. for yourself and a social security card, I.D. or birth certificate for each adult family member.

You'll also need to bring birth certificates for each child, a current rent or mortgage receipt, proof of income and expenses and a printout of your food stamp benefits.
