Fire that destroyed Fletcher firefighter's home deemed suspicious

FLETCHER, Okla._The Oklahoma Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire that destroyed a Fletcher firefighter’s home is suspicious and may be a criminal act.

Despite the downpour of rain Thursday morning, firefighters were not able to save the burning house that left a Fletcher firefighter and his wife without a home. The couple was not there when the fire started.

Investigators say the fire was deemed suspicious following evidence that was collected at the scene. The evidence has been handed over to OSBI for further investigation. No arrests have been made.

Investigators say they are still trying to track down the eyewitness who called in the fire. If you have any information involving this case, call the Oklahoma Fire Marshal's Office at 405-522-5005.
