Car found on fire on side of highway

COMANCHE COUNTY, Okla._Fire officials are investigating Thursday morning after a pricey car was found engulfed in flames on the side of Highway 62 west of Cache. Officials say no one was in the Jaguar at the time of the fire.

Authorities were able to run the car's license plate and contact the owner. Both lanes of the highway were shut down as fire crews dragged the fire hose across the roadway. The fire spread, burning some nearby grass, but the crews were able to put it out quickly.

An elementary school teacher in Tulsa says her salary has left her so short on cash that she had to panhandle for classroom supplies. Teresa Danks has been an educator since 1996. She says that while it's never been a financially rewarding profession, lately is been getting even harder to get by. She makes around $35,000 a year, with about $3,000 being spent out of pocket for school supplies.
