DUNCAN, Okla._A routine traffic stop in Duncan led to the arrests of four suspected drug dealers over the weekend.
Police stopped a car for a broken brake light Sunday. The officer said he smelled marijuana when he got to the car and asked the driver, Christopher Campbell, to step outside. He searched Campbell and found several bags of marijuana, meth and heroin, and placed him under arrest. Police then searched the car, and the three other passengers, and found several more bags and containers of drugs and various items used to measure and sell drugs. They also found a loaded pistol.
Christopher Campbell, Salvador Chaidez, Tina Gifford and Amy Nichols were arrested for drug trafficking and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Campbell later admitted to police that everyone was involved in a plan to bring the drugs from California and sell them in Oklahoma.
