Boy, 6, suspended for imaginary bow and arrow

CINCINNATI, OH._A 6-year-old boy from Ohio is serving his second day of suspension after he pretended to shoot a bow and arrow during recess.

"He told the principal what he does is that 'I shot a bow and arrow, chew chew chew.' Is the sound effects that he provided to it and he returned to class," Matthew Miele, the boy's father, said.

The boy's father said his son was playing with friends when a teacher saw what he was doing. She then brought it to the principal's attention, and the child was soon suspended under a "zero tolerance" policy on threatening gestures.

The boy's parents believe this should be a learning moment for the school, not their son. They say a child should be allowed to pretend on the playground.
