Photos released in recent Stripes robberies

LAWTON, Okla._Lawton police have released three photos in connection to the two Stripes robberies that occurred early Tuesday morning.

The first robbery occurred at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday at the Stripes at 5214 NW Cache Rd. The Stripes at 6457 NW Cache Rd. was robbed at 1:16 a.m. Tuesday.

The clerk at one of the locations told police a black man, wearing what looked like a dreadlock wig, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The suspect ran from the store after taking the cash. The clerk told police he was unable to see the getaway car.

A few minutes later, a man fitting the same description did the same thing at a Stripes nearly one mile away.

The suspect is described as a black man, around 5’7”, 200 pounds. Recently released photos from the stores’ surveillance shows an accomplice. Police were not aware of him until looking at the video.

Neither of the clerks were harmed during the robberies.
