Driver in convenience store robbery arrested

LAWTON, Okla._The driver in Wednesday morning's convenience store robberies has been arrested.

Lawton police say a car matching the description of a vehicle used in two robberies Wednesday morning was spotted near a gas station at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, around 90 minutes after the second robbery. The driver, Leah Keane, gave police consent to search her vehicle and they found a marijuana pipe and a cell phone that had been stolen from the Stripes at Northwest 40th Street and Cache Road.

Keane was read her Miranda Rights, which she waived, and admitted to being the driver in the Stripes robbery at Southwest Sheridan Road and 'E' Avenue. She was also able to describe everything that was taken in the robbery.

Through their investigation, police determined the robbery was planned out.

Keane was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a felony. Police say a juvenile was arrested in connection to the robberies as well.
