Fletcher family one of thousands still without power

FLETCHER, Okla._A family in Fletcher, Okla. is one of the thousands still without power this weekend.

Tammy Hutchinson and her family have been waiting since Friday night to have someone from Caddo Electric Cooperative to come out, and restore their power.

"We just want them to know we are at the end of the line, and we just want somebody to come out to at least look to see if maybe they could fix it," said Hutchinson.

The power lines around their house had trees fallen on them, and power lines down the road were covered in ice.

Hutchinson says they had to make some tough choices in order to keep warm.

"Well my husband ended having to buy a generator on Saturday morning, which is a cost,” said Hutchinson. “We could've used on groceries, but now we're having to use the generator to keep warm."

Hutchinson says that they have gone without power for 11 days back in the storms of 2010, but also says that you always have to be prepared when you live in the country.

On Caddo Electric's Facebook page, they say most of their crews were out in El Reno and Mustang today. They have only restored power to parts of Elgin, Fletcher and Mustang.

Beyond their war of words, the row touched on several sensitive issues in Trump's White House, including a lack of racial diversity, security in the executive mansion and a culture that some there feel borders on paranoia.
