Inmate who escaped work detail captured at Oklahoma casino

PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say an inmate who walked away from a work detail in Muskogee has been captured 140 miles away at a casino.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says police arrested 51-year-old Douglas Wilson early Wednesday at the Osage Casino in Ponca City. Officials say Wilson had been part of a work program and was last seen making a delivery near the Department of Human Services building in Muskogee.

Wilson had been serving 10 years at the John Lilley Correctional Center in Boley for various convictions that include assault and battery, endangering others while eluding police, malicious injury to property, knowingly concealing stolen property and aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol.
