Search for wanted woman results in man's arrest

LAWTON, Okla._Lawton police went to hotel room to serve an arrest warrant Tuesday morning, but ended up arresting someone else for possession of drugs and a gun.

Detectives and officers from the Lawton Police Department Special Operations Unit went to a Lawton hotel 10:00 a.m. Tuesday after they were told a room had been rented to Gaenelle Tahah. Tahah has a felony warrant for her arrest.

When officers showed up at the hotel room, Tahah wasn’t there, but a man was. Beau Nunley told them he was the only one in the room and consented to letting the officers in. Police found .2 grams of meth on a paper napkin on the nightstand. Police ran a records check on Nunley and found he had a city and a county warrant. Nunley also had a baggie with 6.2 grams of meth in his front pocket and a meth pipe.

While police were getting ready to take Nunley to the Lawton City Jail, they grabbed a pair of boots for him to wear and found a semi-automatic pistol.

Nunley was booked on the two warrants, meth possession and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction and during the commission of a felony.
