DUNCAN, Okla._Several students at Duncan Middle School were taken to the hospital after a fellow student reportedly stuck them with a partial butterfly needle.
Superintendent Melonie Hau says the student that stuck several other students Thursday morning was immediately detained and handed over to the Duncan Police Department as soon as they arrived. Hau says Duncan Regional Hospital was notified immediately of the incident and affected students were sent to the hospital for a consultation. She says the well-being of their students is paramount.
"After ascertaining the pertinent facts, the school will take appropriate disciplinary action," Hau said in a statement.
