No. 4 Ringling eliminated in semifinals, loses to No. 8 Cashion 32-6

Ringling was eliminated in the Class A state semifinals following their loss to Cashion 32-6.

The Blue Devils fell into a hole early. Cashion scored on their opening drive capped off by a Matt Harman 3-yard score making the score 6-0 Wildcats. Ringling's run game struggled to find yards all night, so they decided to go to the air to tie the game up. Ricky Lewis connected with Halston Cox on a 60-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter tying the game at six. However, throughout most of the second quarter both teams struggled to move the ball until the final 90 seconds. Cashion was able to mount a drive that finished with Harman throwing a 45-yard touchdown to Case Cochran to give the Wildcats a 12-6 halftime lead.

Cashion would score again in the third to make it a 20-6 Blue Devil deficit. Ringling had a chance in the closing seconds of the quarter to make it a one possession game, but failed to punch it in on fourth-down inside the Cashion five-yard line. Cashion would take control from their adding to more scores in the fourth to seal the win.

Ringling finishes their season at 11-1.
