Holiday in the Park goes 3D

LAWTON, Okla._People wanting to see Christmas lights at Elmer Thomas Park got to experience it in a new way this year. Holiday in the Park has now gone 3D. Visitors hop on a trailer and ride through the park with 3D glasses to create a light show that jumps out at you.

The parks and recreation department wanted to change the light display this year, and that's why they added the 3d glasses.

"Getting the 3D glasses on, getting the different images, having the music, adding a narrator to that just makes it a great experience for people to enjoy," said Parks and Recreation Director Jack Hanna.

The ride is open Fridays and Saturdays through January 1 from 6 – 10 p.m. It is $3 to ride. Kids 6 years of age and younger ride for free. You can also schedule a ride for your group by calling the Park and Recreation Department. The ride fee will go towards next year’s Holiday in the Park celebration.
