LAWTON, Okla.(KSWO)_Hundreds of kids in our area will have toys under their tree, thanks in part, to the customers at the Comanche Nation Casino.
They've been conducting a toy drive since November 27, and they delivered a huge stash to the Comanche County Sheriff's Department Thursday. They collected more than 50 pallets of toys. The bulk will go needy families in the tribe, but casino officials say they had more than enough to fill those requests, so they contacted the sheriff about taking the rest for his annual toy giveaway.
"We feel really great about it because we know there is people who need these gifts this time of year and to be able to bring warmth and happiness to families it makes the tribe and casino feel good about it," said Chris Williams, Comanche Nation Casino's general manager.
