Flash mob Christmas caroling at Central Mall

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - If you were out Christmas shopping at Central Mall on Saturday you probably heard some surprise caroling. The holiday sounds of the Southwest Pride Barbershop Chorus. This is the first year of their Christmas flash mob performance at the mall. The singers start singing one at a time, drawing attention of the shoppers. They also had sweet Adeline’s of Lawton Harmony Chorus join them for a few songs.

Bill Penn with the chorus says a surprise performance at the mall brings a little bit of Christmas cheer to the shoppers.

"Well I looked out and I could see people's big smiles on their faces,” said Penn. “I heard some people humming along with us, and they seemed to be real happy and pleased.”

Some customers stopped to take pictures, and some joined in on the singing. Penn says he doesn't mind a bit, and encourages the audience to participate. The chorus sings Christmas songs all around Lawton during this time of year.
