Elgin animal shelter held dog meet & greet

ELGIN, Okla. (KSWO) - The Elgin animal shelter had a meet and greet for all of their dogs in hopes that some of them will get a home for the holidays. They brought out seven of their dogs who are available for adoption today at Osborn Park in Elgin. Since the shelter has only 12 kennels, they like to have these events to help get the dogs adopted so the shelter doesn't reach capacity.

Jennifer Craven says these dogs would be a great addition to any home, and also a great Christmas present.

"These dogs are all looking for homes for the holidays, and they don't want to spend Christmas in the shelter," said Craven. "We have dogs of all shapes sizes colors personalities types. We've got lazy dogs, we've got more active dogs who would be into sports and running. There's really the perfect dog for anybody."

If you want to adopt a dog from the Elgin animal shelter you can go on their page on Facebook, or find them on petfinder.com and adoptapet.com.
